| Logan School, 1975. |
This Logan School building was constructed on 25th Street at 16th Avenue in 1920, to replace a nearby two-room school of the same name. Demand for a larger school in that area had been enhanced by the nearby construction of scores of homes by the U. S. Government Housing Corporation, in an effort to ease housing shortages during World War I. During the 1920s the Forest Hill and Highland areas were growing rapidly, leading to expansions of Logan School in 1922, 1923 and 1927.
