YMCA
1730 5th Avenue

In Moline, as in most American cities, the YMCA was one of the institutions found in the classic twentieth century downtown. When the YMCA suburbanized in the 1970s, this 5th Avenue building was torn down to make way for the expansion of its neighbor for several decades, the Dispatch newspaper (another classic downtown institution).
