This auditorium, which today hosts shows presented by the Quad City Music Guild, was built in 1903 by the Moline Chautauqua Association. It hosted such visitors as the Lund University Choir from Sweden in 1904, and William Jennings Bryan, who came several times. Prior to the construction of this 1079 seat facility, Chautauqua shows were held under the stars or in tents. The auditorium was renovated in 1950, then again in 2000 when air conditioning was added for the first time, ending a century-long tradition of sweaty summer productions in Prospect Park.
