The Butterkist Streamliner diner held forth in the 1940s and 1950s near 50th Street on 4th Avenue, which for most of the twentieth century was the main thoroughfare connecting Moline and East Moline. This building had been moved from 16th Street near 23rd Avenue sometime in the 1930s. This 1941 photo is from the Rock Island County Historical Society Collection and is available on the online Upper Mississippi River Digital Image Archive.
