Moline Club

Clubs

Commercial, athletic, fraternal, ethnic and other types of clubs were the predominant social outlet for men and women in the nineteenth century. Although some of these clubs and groups survive in the twenty-first century, such groups saw their height a century ago.

In Moline, many of the buildings called home by these groups still survive. Some clubs still operate, though many of the buildings have provided successful examples of adaptive reuse.
