Peal's Grocery was located between 9th & 10th Street, on 4th Avenue in Moline. It was co-owned by Herbert and Bert Peal. Pictured is Herbert's first car with one of his son's, Dewey, inside. Peal's offered a host of grocery and assorted items and served as a neighborhood grocery. The picture could be as early as 1917. The store has been torn down for many years and is an empty lot now, but the house is still there.
Years later the store was moved down the street to the location that is today Carmen's Jewelry at 925 4th Avenue.
