Landmarks Preservation
Landmarks Preservation is Illinois' leading voice for historic preservation. From the rubble of the 1971 demolition of Adler and Sullivan's masterpiece old Chicago Stock Exchange Building, LPCI rose to become a 2,000 member statewide organization.

In the more than 30 years since its founding, it has gone on to save countless architectural and historic treasures throughout the state of Illinois. The organization has established a variety of programs that continue to facilitate, educate, and promote historic preservation. LPCI’s founding mission was to stop the demolition of significant buildings in downtown Chicago.

National Trust for Historic Preservation
For more than 50 years, the National Trust has been helping people protect the irreplaceable. A private nonprofit organization with more than a quarter million members, the National Trust is the leader of the vigorous preservation movement that is saving the best of our past for the future.
